I certainly made up for yesterday! After a doctor’s appointment, cleaning my bedroom and appeasing the whippets, I finished spinning the 4 oz batt of Deb’s Aplaca Merino. IT WAS AWESOME TO SPIN. Seriously. I learned my lesson from the other day, I will let this bobbin “rest” before plying. Here’s my basket of spun goodies:
The picture doesn’t really reflect the color of the Alpaca/Merino. It’s more purple in real life. As you can see, the finished hank of blue fiber is there too. Here’s it’s glamor shot in the garden:
Loved spinning this stuff. I’m glad I also have the same stuff in green. I do have some bad news though…
THIS IS ALL THAT IS LEFT OF MY FIBER STASH!!!! At this pace, I am in serious danger of running out of fiber!!! The BFL in the bag is au natural and I was planning to dye it, so I’m not planning on spinning it during the tour. I may have to break my stash diet and buy some fiber online. I just can’t live knowing that I have less than a pound of spin-able fiber on hand. OH THE SPINNING HUMANITY!!
I’ll figure something out. For now, I’ll work on the green fiber later tonight and let the Alpaca/Merino bobbin get good and rested. That will buy me a little time.
